China’s UnionPay expanding card acceptance across Serbia

Chinese payment services provider UnionPay International (UPI) has entered into a partnership with Serbia’s Banka Postanska Stedionica and OTP Bank to expand UnionPay card acceptance across Serbia.

The partnership with Banka Postanska Stedionica will enable about 1,000 local merchants in Serbia to accept UnionPay cards.

In addition, UPI is collaborating with OTP Bank for acceptance of UnionPay cards on hundreds of Serbian ATMs, it said.
UPI will also cooperate with lenders UniCredit Bank Serbia, Komercijalna banka, and Raiffeisen Bank to enable over 10,000 Serbian merchants to accept UnionPay cards within this year, the Chinese company added.
