No. It is treated as a resident structure. At the time of registration in Serbian business registry, it gets Serbian Tax ID which automatically makes it Serbian resident. Also, branch has its own Serbian address.

No. According to the Article 567 of Serbian Companies Act, the branch does not have the status of a legal person, and in legal transactions it acts on behalf and for the account of the company.

If you are coming from EU and European countries your international driving license (known as “green card”) is recognized. In other case, you should pass practical driving exam and you will have to pass theory exam in Serbian as well.

You are considered tax resident. Serbian Tax Administration issues certificates of tax residency in regards to Agreements on Double Taxation Avoidance with respective countries. Serbia has concluded the mentioned agreements with almost all European countries.

For Serbian branch office of a foreign company, which does not have legal entity in Serbia, opening a bank account is possible. However bank compliance is still necessary.

Opening a bank account for company registered in Serbia is straightforward.

For a foreign company opening a bank account, this will depend upon the jurisdiction of the company. This is difficult to do worldwide, so we cannot give a guarantee that a Serbian Bank will open an account. For a company from the EU opening a Bank account is easier to do and has a greater chance of success.
